When?
Friday 3.45pm- Sunday 3pm.



Where?
Barn Paddock - Karamatura Valley, Waitakere Ranges. From Titirangi, take Huia Road and travel about 15-16km. Once you cross the Huia Bridge turn (L) and travel about 500m. There is a sign on the (R) hand side ‘Karamutura Farm'. If you get to the museum (L), you have gone too far. You can drive into the campsite. Best to allow an hour from Auckland City. The Practice Journey is a loop track and pick up will be at the same location.

$195.00 per student.

This includes instructors, camp fee, maps and adult supervision overnight.

 

Booking & Medical Forms

Please submit electronically. These must be completed prior to the programme. It is really important that these are filled in accurately and thoroughly, confidentiality will apply and please feel free to contact us to discuss any concerns or conditions. Please make sure you bring any medications you require with you.

 

Food
You need to bring your own. Please note water will need to be boiled for drinking so good idea to bring enough to start with. Remember you need to carry all your rubbish so leave any additional packaging at home.

 


Track Details
Students will camp at Karamatura Barn Paddock in the Waitakere Ranges on the Friday night, before tramping to Whatipu (camping at the Cave campsite) and return via a loop track to Karamatura Barn Paddock campsite on the Sunday afternoon. As it is likely that the tracks may be wet and boggy, please make sure you have suitable footwear, running shoes are not suitable.
